![]() The elevator was interesting to get to our room, it had doors that opened on both sides. My friend likes to hit the tables, so he had that option after we went to the room. The buffet area looked spacious, but we checked in late and weren't able to try the food there. There was ample seating areas and a cool fireplace there too. ![]() The lobby of the resort was very modern and clean. The gentleman at the desk, I think his name was Clayton, was very nice, welcoming and got us checked in fairly quickly. There was no traffic driving there and their huge parking structure was much appreciated since we didn't have to walk too far to the reception desk. It was just a little over 30 minutes to the resort. I had a car so driving to Viejas wasn't too bad. I didn't book the hotel until a few weeks out, so hotel availability was either very expensive or unavailable if I wanted something closer to the Convention Center or on their shuttle bus route. It was the yearly Comic Con trek to San Diego and I needed to find something that was within my budget and comfortable.
